FAQ

Programmatic advertising, answered.

Everything you might want to know about programmatic, DSPs, pixels and how Amplifi™ targets your audience.

Quick answer

Programmatic advertising is automated, real-time buying of digital ad space through a demand-side platform (DSP). Soundwave Digital runs it as a managed service powered by Amplifi™ AI audience modeling — with no minimums and full transparency.

What is programmatic advertising?

Programmatic advertising offers the ultimate efficiency to reach your audience in the right places and at the right times. Your Soundwave Digital team creates a strategy that employs easy, automated media buying optimized for your specific business needs.

What is a Demand-Side Platform (DSP)?

A demand-side platform (DSP) is software that automates the purchase and placement of digital ads. Entering your campaign goals and target audience lets DSPs buy ad space that reaches them at the optimal times and places, using data and algorithms to deliver the best results.

What are pixels?

Pixels are simple pieces of code that integrate into a website directly or through a tag-management system, allowing DSPs to collect relevant user data for remarketing and to measure conversions for performance-based campaigns such as landing-page views and purchases.

Why are pixels important?

Pixels let Amplifi measure performance through on-site actions, which helps our AI-based algorithms optimize programmatic campaigns. They also let Amplifi build lookalike models to find users most similar to a client's existing audience.

How does Soundwave Digital find your audience?

Through first-party survey data we create custom audiences based on a user's interest, intent and behaviors. We then model off that seed audience through Amplifi to create lookalike audiences.

What powers Amplifi?

Our large pool of first-party and panel data lets us find the right user for each client and draw insight into additional interests and behaviors an audience might show that other tools overlook.

What data does Soundwave use?

We use first-party anonymized panel data to power Amplifi. Through various data partnerships we also have access to PII-compliant demographic data from providers such as TransUnion, Experian, Visa and Mastercard.

Do you have a minimum spend?

No. Amplifi has no minimums — whether you're scaling or just testing, we meet you where you are and build a strategy that fits your budget.

Which channels can you run?

All six core programmatic channels: Display & Native, Online Video (OLV), Connected TV (CTV), Audio Streaming, Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) and Social Media Buying — cross-pollinated within core DSP seats.

Is your advertising brand-safe and compliant?

Yes. We follow IAB and DAA protocol and work with site-verification partners to ensure the safest ad inventory. Our data and cookie tracking is CCPA & GDPR compliant.
